Fig. 1 Arosa - a resort in the heart of the Alpine mountains
Arosa is one of the most famous resorts in Switzerland, plush with breathtaking landscapes and historical sights, as well as traditions. The village is located in the depths of the Schanfigg valley at over a mile above sea level. Unrivaled mountain views and the accessibility of numerous peaks provide tourists with ample opportunities for active recreation and sports.
The resort’s convenient location in the lower part of the wide valley allows to avoid the strong winds typical for this area. Arosa is famous for the abundance of sun throughout the year and its incredibly clean air. People come here on holidays as well as for health reasons. The clean air can be explained by the absence of transit roads passing through the village or near it. There are very few cars in the village itself and the population is barely more than 3,000 people. And if you decide to order a taxi cab in Arosa, you can be sure that you won’t get stuck in a traffic jam - they are simply non-existent there.
Most people go on holiday to Arosa in order to ski. And despite the fact that the ski area of the resort is relatively small, it has an extremely convenient location. The main ski-runs stretch from the north-western ridge almost all the way to the residential areas. The trails are not that long - the longest one is about 4 miles. You will not find any advanced trails here. The resort is meant for beginners in Alpine skiing.

The public transport in the village is quite convenient. The main road stretches through the entire resort with regularly running buses that will get you to all the notable places, main shops and restaurants. The buses are free during daytime, which often leads to them being overcrowded. So if you want to get to the place you need in comfort, it's better to order a taxi service in Arosa.
The cab will take you to the place you want to see in no time. And there are plenty of sights to look at:
You can get to the resort from the airport either by taxi or on your own. But if you pick the latter, be prepared for 365 turns and several tunnels. If you want to relax after the flight, and just enjoy the local views, you can book a transfer to Arosa with us.
